How many bacteria are transmitted with a kiss? – Daily Mail

A study revealed that at least 80 million bacteria are transferred during a kiss just ten seconds . The study’s authors also conclude that the couples kissing nine times a day communities share similar oral bacteria .

That’s the conclusion reached by the members of the Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), the Netherlands.

With his mouth still hosts more than 700 varieties of bacteria, oral microbiota also seems to be influenced by those closest to us.

The study published in the journal that detailed Microbiome 21 pairs examined and found that, among those nine kisses were given each day, salivary microbiota became like.

In reaching this conclusion bacteria samples from the tongue and saliva of 21 pairs before he was taken and after the kiss ten seconds.

A member of each of the couples took a probiotic drink that contains specific strains of bacteria, including Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria.

After an intimate kiss, the researchers found that the amount of probiotic bacteria in saliva receptor tripled and calculated that a total of 80 million microorganisms for ten seconds transferred.

But while the properties of the bacteria in saliva seemed to change quickly response to a Kiss, the language remained more stable

Remco Kort, who led the research, said. “The kiss is a great example of exposure to a huge number of bacteria in a short time. But it seems that only some bacteria take hold in the language. “

He noted that this type of research can help design future therapies and help people with bacterial problems.
