Los Angeles, EU.- Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, is convinced that virtual reality has ensured the future as a way to involve the user in games or concerts, and so organized a developer conference in Los Angeles dedicated to their Oculus 3D glasses.

Last year, Facebook was surprised with the purchase of Oculus for nearly 2,000 million. Now the firm Zuckerberg gives the glasses with content streaming service Netflix and the game “Minecraft” to make them more attractive.

The first version ready for use by consumers come next year, but Thursday’s meeting was not announced its price. That same day Facebook also announced that the social network may hang videos of 360 degrees. On the PC you can see it by moving the mouse and smartphones tilting the phone, but its future is certainly also in the 3D glasses.

At the meeting in Los Angeles was reported to also be screened at the glasses movies from 20th Century Fox and Lions Gate as “The Hunger Games,” “Alien” or “Die Hard”. But for now the aim, as with the programs broadcast Netflix is mimic the experience of being at a large movie screen and not place the user in the middle of the action.

Facebook is also working in the latter possibility, but in their own small study and brief interactive tapes.

Another company that is experimenting with this technology is Lucasfilm (“Star Wars”), belonging to Disney. Lucasfilm executive Ron Bredow said during the event that the visual language for the genre is still developing. Netflix said recently that no thinking create specific films for Virtual Reality (VR, in English).
