Science: experts reveal the true origin of life on Earth – The People

The origin of the living species on planet Earth remains one of the most intriguing questions of current biology, so it is vital experts know the true chemical reaction that allowed the emergence of life.

 

 

 A group of German chemists belonging to the University of Munich achieved what would be described as ‘a scientific feat’, because they were able to reconstruct the chain of reactions that led to the origin of life.

 

 There is a whole process that allowed the creation of molecules ribonucleic acid (RNA) thanks to a simple and common combination in space.

 

 The results were shared in the journal Science, where it was revealed that the precursors of living organisms were RNA molecules that act as a viable information and as catalysts for chemical reactions. This process is similar to DNA.

 

 With this map developed by scientists becomes possible to generate the building blocks for RNA from simpler molecules.

 

 The particles were present in the atmosphere of early Earth and also in comets or asteroids that hit. According to research, this chain started with hydrocyanic acid molecules, simple and common space compound.
