It is Wall-E or the Teddy bear, that Artificial Intelligence Steven Spielberg’s film. Much less Terminator, Robocop or Transformer. Like something out of science fiction, the Taiwanese company Asustek (ASUS) yesterday presented its first intelligent robot designed for home at the start of the technology fair Computex 2016.

So the Zenbo robot works .

According to the president of the company, Jonney Shih, Zenbo was designed to provide assistance, entertainment and company in the comfort of home. It has autonomy of movement and the ability to understand voice commands. The price of this chiche: $ $ 599.

Zenbo is designed to interact with all members of the family, but has a specific functionality that helps older adults to protect their health and welfare as well as to enjoy a connected digital life.

As an assistant homecare It provides reminders proactively as shifts with medical, medication, exercise schedules and anything the user wishes to remember. It also monitors emergency situations – such as falls – and immediately alerts them to the rest of the family through notification no matter where they are. Once alerted, members can remotely control the Zenbo for it to move and use the built to visually check its status camera.
