An unmanned rocket explodes NASA launch – The Associated Press

NEW YORK, 29 Oct. (IRIN) –

A rocket unmanned NASA, carrying supplies for the International Space Station (ISS, for its acronym in English ), has exploded during its launch Tuesday on the east coast of Virginia, causing a huge fireball, but if one was injured, as reported by CNN.

A video shows the rocket rising in the air for a few seconds before the explosion. Then collapses back to Earth, causing more flames hitting the ground. NASA has detailed, through its official Twitter profile that the ruling came six seconds after launch.

The Antares rocket was launched from the NASA facility at Wallops Island, Virginia, and had charged the Cygnus capsule, which was created to carry 5,000 kilos of supplies and experiments to the International Space Station.

About a third of the burden of the spacecraft consisted of material for scientific research, including an experiment of a school of Houston on growth of peas and a study of blood flow in space.

The rocket launch was scheduled for Monday, but a number of problems Technicians will delayed until Tuesday, when finally been unsuccessfully launched into space. The space agency had said before the launch that weather conditions were “favorable hundred percent” and that there was no technical problem.
