The memory of the past marks the debut of Samuele Rossi within the documentary genre. In this production, reveals a chapter of change for Italy. In the film, Rossi immerses viewers in memory of war and resistance through the eyes of seven expartisanos recounting his past and share their war stories.
Premiered at the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam 2014 with good reception from critics and the public memory of the past connects past and present, according to its director. “We must never forget the past,” he said in an interview, adding that this production can “possibly be the best story for the public to fully understand the issue of the Italian Resistance.”
