on The 15th of July a group of engineers began in China the installation of the world’s largest radio telescope,the diameter of the infrastructure is of 500 meters, has a perimeter of about 1.6 km and was installed in a mountainous area of Guizhou province in southwest China, far from inhabited pueblos.
“There are three hills arranged 500 metres of each other which create an ideal space for the telescope,” explained the head of the work, Sun Thaihun Xinhuan.
