Google will start to compete with WhatsApp this week – unocero (blog)

Google announced its new messaging service, Allo, during its I/O event few months ago. At that time, it is not said exactly when it would come, only that at some point in the summer.

This season of the year is about to end and Google is still not saying anything about the official release, though several sources claim that the app will arrive this week, exactly on the 21st of September.

One of them is Evan Blass, who is quite popular for filtering information related to the industry of the technology and match practically everything.

as announced by Google at the time, Allo will be available to both Android smartphones as for the operating system of the competition, iOS.

The new messenger from Google is intended to compete with other services like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. The application will enable to talk both with other people and groups through text messages, along with the possibility of changing the size of the letter and include stickers.

however, the unique feature of Allo is that you also will be able to speak with Google’s Assitant to get through it. This is the new virtual assistant of the company capable of responding to the natural language and searching for information on the Internet without leaving the conversation.

just like WhatsApp, the messages of Allo will be sent encrypted to the server, and also offers an incognito mode optional that will encrypt messages end-to-end without save the history of conversations, which means that they will only be visible for a limited time.
