Twitter enables you to write tweets longer from tomorrow, Monday 19 – Daily Management

Among the new features is that it will not be necessary to place a period before the @ to a mention for reaching all users, not only the above-mentioned.

The social network Twitter, it will not post statements, videos or pictures in your 140 characters, so you will be able to write longer comments.

As announced by The Verge, starting on 19 September, Twitter will change the way you count the 140 characters in their tweets.

In reality, this measure has already announced some months ago, but the social network had not made specific date to start to be applied.

In the press release that was issued last may, Twitter claimed that since it does not count extras such as photos, videos, polls or the names of users at the beginning of the answers in 140 characters.

on the other hand, it will not be necessary to place a period before the @ to a mention for reaching all users, not only the above-mentioned. According to the network, now all the mentions, even though they are at the beginning of the tweet will be visible to all the followers.

The limitation of the characters that Twitter has defended ince its inception and that, in good part, characterizes the social network, it seems that it is becoming less strict.

In fact, a few months ago it was rumored the possibility that the company is considering to expand its limit up to 10,000 characters, which would mean multiplying by more than 71 in the current space that allows the network in their tweets.
