It’s official: macOS Sierra is already available; know your news – CNET in Spanish

macOS Sierra, the new operating system for Apple’s Mac computers, is now available for download officially, and without spending a single penny.

macOS Sierra does not have any cost, since Apple has already several years, releasing their operating systems –any platform– for free for all its users.

The list of Mac computers that are compatible with macOS is the following:

  • MacBook (late 2009 onwards)
  • iMac (late 2009 onwards)
  • 11-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch (2010 and later)
  • MacBook Pro 13-inch and 15-inch (2010 onwards)
  • Mac Mini (2010 and later)
  • Mac Pro (2010 and later)

If your Mac is on this list, congratulations, because you will receive the new features of macOS Sierra, such as the Clipboard cross-platform, Siri on the Mac, Apple Pay on the Web, among others. Find out all the news from Sierra here.

in Addition to all the news, macOS Sierra represents the first name change to the operating system for computers in past years. Previously, the operating system took the name of Mac OS X or simply OS X. Apple changed the name for which all their platforms have a similar terminology (iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS).

How to install macOS Sierra
