Scientists were able to record video to a strange fish never before seen a record depth of 8145 meters below the surface. Images were captured during an exploratory trip to the Mariana Trench , one of the deepest parts of the world.
To Jeff Drazen and Patty Fryer, discoverers of aquatic animal, it could be a kind of fish snail . However, they are not sure because it has a shape that does not correspond to what is known so far.
This translucent specimen has fins that seem broad wings, a filamentous appendage and a tail eel that moves slowly and gently in the water.
Also, this small fish has also broken a new record of life in depth, surpassing the 8000 meters below the surface . A different kind of snail fish (Amblystomopsis gelatinous Pseudoliparis) was discovered above the 7000 703 meters.
But this was not the only finding, scientists also recorded images of amphipods , species of crustaceans that are between 2 and 3 inches. However, those found in that area exceeded 30 inches.
Very few known species manage to survive this environment, since they must withstand the intense pressure of the deep sea.
