Egypt. ¿Pyramids without mystery? – Reuters

October 25, 2015, 15:37 By Manuel Vazquez
Active Image Cairo, October 25 (PL) No know when legends began to circulate all around the pyramids of Egypt, but for millennia those graves, apart from its function as a home for the survival of pharaohs, have fueled the most disparate ideas.

Now, equipped with technology that at the beginning of XXI century, we seem advanced, an international research team intends to study with unprecedented level of detail.

Under the authority of the Department of Antiquities of Egypt, and coordinated by the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University and the French Institute HIP, local experts, European and Japanese begin in early November a project, after completing the end of 2016, answer many of the questions surrounding the pyramids.

As stated in the motto of the international initiative, “That mystery has lasted four thousand five hundred years, does not make it unsolvable.”

Are there hidden cameras inside ?, How were constructed? How did it evolve architectural and engineering knowledge in ancient Egypt?

To address these questions, the project aims Scanpyramids use several noninvasive imaging techniques in four of the masterpieces of Pharaonic dynasty IV (2575-2465 BC).

In the Giza Plateau, outskirts of Cairo, will explore the pyramids of Cheops and Chephren, the latter the son of Cheops and grandson of Pharaoh Sneferu.

In addition, at the site of Dahshur, (also close to Cairo) mission will analyze the called Bent Pyramid (two different angles), and Pyramid North, called the Red, both built by Snefru. Obsession family, Will Cuppy say.

examine, but not touch or stone, Minister of Antiquities of Egypt, Mamdouh Eldamaty said at a press conference.

FUSION TECHNIQUES

At first, although several of the measurements shall be performed in parallel, the French company staff Iconem draw a three-dimensional digital representation from images of high resolution (to scale up to centimeter), which they acquire through the use of different types of drones.

That level of detail permitted shed new light on the alignment and assembly of the blocks, but also about the texture of these and, therefore, traces left empelados by the instruments in your size or how to manipulate them.

In addition, the French engineer Jean Claude Barre analyzed using infrared images around the outside of those sets up two or three blocks deep, detecting variations in absorption capacity “heat” in the materials.

This may reveal hitherto unknown sealed entries, and other construction details.

However, in the art that many lay their largest hope is on the complete picture of the pyramids, to its innermost interior, through the detection of elementary particles of matter (muons) passing through the entire monument, from the upper reaches of the atmosphere.

similar to medical X-ray radiographs way, in this case detectors placed in precise by scientists at Nagoya University and the institute KEK, Japan places, can reveal gaps (between two and three meters) throughout the volume the pyramids.

Neither hidden cameras or unknown passages left out of the view of researchers and archaeologists.

However, the complete knowledge will only be achieved by merging the results Individual contributed by each of these techniques.

Thus, by the end of 2016 it is possible that the seven billion people on the planet know secrets that four thousand five hundred years ago commanded a person in the World : the real architect of Cheops
