<-! -> More than one million applications are in the App Store and Google Play, but none of them are sufficient for many owners of smart phones. A third of UK users did not download any new service in the last month; not even visited online stores.

This lack of appetite to expand their catalog on their devices of “apps” has led to the concern of many developers, who are next to the golden days of growth this type of service that has changed the traditional paradigm of communication, travel or games.

In the latest report from Deloitte a small kick users who do download applications shown. It has gone from 2.32 to 1.82, lower than desirable for development companies that contrasts with the increase in sales of “smartphones” (global sales amounted to 968 million, according to Gartner) ratio. Neither paid apps fail to engage users. 90% of all downloaded has never paid for any of them.

This data comes after news that the mobile gaming company Digital Entertainment King stock market collapsed by 23% and the flight of users its main title, Candy Crush Saga, which has decreased its appeal faster than expected while their other games like Pyramid Solitaire Saga failed to compensate the difference. Neither Zynga, another industry giant, going through a good time.

The investigators explained the data considering that the owners of these devices over the age of 50 years has grown in the last year and habits are not using their phones to download data and services other than those found natively. There is also the fact that consumers have greater experience and the applications they use most and does not motivate them to download new ones, suggesting a stabilization of the mature market. Sales volume may have hit a roof.

In fact, the ranking of the “apps” most downloaded logos are not very traditional fall like WhatsApp, totaling more than 500 million users with its innovative proposal to send instant messages and launched in 2009; Messenger messaging service created by Facebook, leading social network in the world with over 1,350 million users; or Instagram, photography network that debuted in 2010 Furthermore, to make matters worse, the services are directed by the same person, Mark Zuckerberg. In Android supra-what is the thing on IOSCO changes relatively little, only Spotify and Candy Crush is placed between the most downloaded over other mobile games.

In this regard, the future is not very encouraging. 80% of the applications in the App Store is almost lifeless. This high percentage means that the vast majority of the 1.2 million applications available does not record just downloads, according to analyst firm Adjust. With 60,000 apps added to the App Store each month is becoming increasingly difficult for applications to highlight. Only a fifth of them had been visible enough in June. To this we must add that the impact is diminishing. Gartner recently pointed out that in 2018 only 0.01% of the applications will be profitable. Gain visibility is the challenge
