Washington, Aug 28 (EFE) .- The combined observations of three space telescopes and one on earth have given astronomers a first glimpse of a place where 11,000 million years ago a huge galaxy was constructed, as reported by NASA.

The space agency said the site -called “Sparky”, which in English means “sparkling” – consisting of a dense galactic core that glows with the rapid proliferation of new stars

The observations were made with the Hubble and Spitzer telescopes of NASA, the European Herschel Space Agency, and the WM Keck installed on Mauna Kea, Hawaii.

According to astronomers “Sparky” is a fully developed elliptical galaxy, this is a congregation of old stars in which there is a deficiency of gases, according to the theory, develops from a compact core.

In this case, the core would have been there about 3,000 million years after the Big Bang, a phenomenon that scientists believe gave birth to the universe in which find Earth.

“Sparky” has a width of about six thousand light years, very small when compared with the hundred thousand light edge to edge of the Milky Way years, but contains twice more stars that the galaxy in which the solar system resides Earth

If scientists are correct in their conclusions “Sparky” has given them an almost unique look. since the Big Bang the universe has been expand and is now so diffuse that no crowds so dense as observed may occur.

The observations from the Hubble telescope launched in April 1990 and orbiting at 7,500 meters per second to about 560 kilometers Earth, allowed to calculate the size of “Sparky”, while the infrared images from Spitzer and Herschel were used to determine the speed with which the core of the galaxy produces stars.

NASA said on “Sparky” sprout three hundred stars per year compared with an appearance by year ten stars in the Milky Way.

The most accepted theory is that astronomers expedited star birth is the result of a gas stream that flowed into the core during its formation in the gravitational background of dark matter, the invisible cosmic material that functions as a scaffold in the construction of galaxies.

The note said that the galaxy has been creating stars for over a billion years and probably lessen hatching rate to a stop. It is possible that in the coming years 10,000 million other smaller galaxies merge with “Sparky” and this will become a giant elliptical galaxy and quieter.
