Facebook Inc said it will add a new feature to your messaging application that will allow friends to send and receive money through this.
Users can click on an icon with the sign of dollar in a new chat window to send money to friends, after which link a Visa or Mastercard debit card issued by a US bank to their accounts.
The free feature will be released within in the coming months to users in the US who access Facebook through desktops or Google Inc’s Android or iOS Apple Inc on their mobile devices operating system. Users can create a personal identification number (PIN, for its acronym in English) or activate the Touch ID if you have an iPhone to add a level of security for its payment.
Snapchat launched a similar feature in November, called Snapcash, allowing users to associate their debit cards to their accounts and send money to a contact to start a conversation.
