Microsoft will offer Windows 10 as a free upgrade – Trade

Microsoft will offer its next OS Windows 10 as a free update for users of its latest versions.

With this initiative, the world’s largest software company looking to hold on to consumers in the new mobile era, which has largely ignored in recent times.

The announcement of Terry Myerson, who heads the group of operating systems Microsof t, means a major change for the company, which has always charged for the new versions of Windows , one of their main sources of income.

Windows 10 , which is scheduled to arrive at the stores in late September, will be available for one year as a free upgrade for users of Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1, Myerson said.

The change shows that Microsoft is moving to a subscription model frequently updated for your operating system flag, rather than larger payment updates every few years.
