“My Note”, China’s bet against the iPhone 6 Plus – XEU

Xiaomi Chinese company introduced its flagship smartphone that aims to compete with Apple iPhone 6 Plus.

The smartphone released Thursday has a 5.7 inch screen, a Sony camera and the ability to hold two SIM cards simultaneously.

The president of the company, Lei Jun, said his flagship device is thinner and lighter than the product of its competition, Apple. Its cost is 2,299 yuan ($ 370) for a 16GB model, and 2,799 yuan (450 dls) for the 64GB model.

Although his name is little known outside Asia, Xiaomi is the most valuable startup world. It was founded just five years ago and became the third largest maker of smartphones in the world. Last year distributed 61 million units and reported more than 74 billion yuan (12, 000 million) in sales.

The main competition “My Note” against iPhone 6 Plus is the price, because it is located at half the cost the latest version of the Cupertino company.
